CCTV Systems
CCTV systems are used by homes and businesses to monitor and track illegal activity. Unlike security cameras that operate using the internet, CCTV cameras function on a wired network using a combination coaxial and UTP cables. These fixed cameras send their feed to a monitoring and recording device where it can be reviewed by property owners and/or security personnel. CDS Security primarily installs Dahua CCTV systems. The specific cameras used are entirely dependent on the client’s security needs and the scope of coverage they are looking for. Fire Alarm Systems
CDS provides service to all low voltage fire alarm systems to include maintenance, repair, and testing. We also design and install new systems utilizing primarily Silent Knight and Fire-Lite products. Both systems offer addressable and conventional systems which provide excellent utility and protection. Please see below for more information on each of these types of panels.
Conventional Fire Alarm Systems
A conventional fire alarm system uses one or more circuits, connected to sensors wired in parallel. Each device is connected to the control panel with its own wire. You will find one end of the wire connected to the device, and another connected to the control panel. The main advantage of conventional fire alarm systems is that they are cost effective for smaller applications such as small schools, stores, restaurants, and apartments.

These systems are more sophisticated than conventional fire alarm systems and can provide an exact location of the event. These systems can range from simple using only one device to extremely complex utilizing several hundred devices. For larger applications, addressable fire alarm systems are the best solution.
